“Amar Internet Amar Aay”( www.aiaa.gov.bd/) which means, “My Internet My Earning” is a freelancer training project collaborating with Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha (National Women Organization) under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The project aims to train 2304 women online for free of cost from all 64 districts of the country. The subjects being taught are freelancing basics, web design and development, e-Commerce, digital marketing, graphics design, data entry, SEO and basic communication skills. The selected trainees are already enrolled with Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha who are focusing on women empowerment in Bangladesh. The purpose of “Amar Internet Amar Aay” is to increase the number of women freelancers in the country, making unemployed women financially solvent and independent, habituated with technology and thus reducing the gender gap in the internet usage in Bangladesh.
